In terms of sensory stimulation, full research is done on the elderlies' remaining ability and color effects on human emotions. Blue, yellow and green are chosen for the best of the elderlies' sleeping quality and happiness. the form of leaf and dew are utilized to create the mood and atmosphere of a peaceful and cool morning in the awakening forest, both on the cabinet and ceiling (where the elderlies would stare at more than half of their days). The idea is to motivate residents to live in hope, happiness and sense of vivid nature. A touching screen is set up with functions of iCloud to connect the olds with their families and outside world, monitor to check their health condition and video games to provide fun things to do. A linear sound spreader is set beside the bed.

For privacy, individual cabinets, furniture, music, screen, A/C and controllable lighting are set within each hut so that the elderlies can control all the living condition to be personal.

In security aspect, all right angles pointing to the living area are optimized, furniture is attached to the wall without losing elements, a 180 mm height toekick gap is left for the ease of wheelchair.

A whiteboard is set for the communication between the elderlies, families and caregivers.

For the material of the hut, the outer wall is light wood panels so to provide a soft and cozy atmosphere. The inner wall is in sound-proof foam for reducing background noise of the environment. The furnitures are basically made of plywood.With all the considerations, the sensory hut aims at creating a self-stimulating and medical-friendly private space for the elderly so as to achieve a lifestyle of happiness, security and abundance.
